Entirely led by employees, Knauf has participated in the annual SCUFFY drive for the past 40 years. The company’s contribution comes from various sources including employee paycheck deductions, 50 percent company matching, individual staff donations, and fundraising events. Funds support several community non-profits including Girls Inc., Head Start, Meals on Wheels, Turning Point Domestic Violence Services, USO of Indiana, Shelby Senior Services, Cancer Association of Shelby County, and more.
“Knauf has a long-held tradition of leadership in the SCUFFY fundraising campaign. Over several decades, their team members have enthusiastically helped support the local organizations who need us most, not just financially but with their volunteer time and efforts as well. We are grateful for the generosity of Knauf’s employees who have made SCUFFY stronger and Shelby County a better place to live, work, and play,” said Alecia Gross, Executive Director of SCUFFY.
Michelle Woodall, Knauf Treasury Supervisor, currently serves on the SCUFFY Board of Directors. Many Knauf employees have sat on the SCUFFY board over the years.
“Every year I am amazed by the generosity of our employees and their dedication to making a difference in our local community,” said Knauf Insulation North America CEO Matt Parrish. “As one of the largest employers in the areas in which we operate, supporting our local communities is at the heart of Knauf, it’s in our DNA. Our collaboration with SCUFFY extends beyond the financial drive, as our team members put their time and efforts into volunteering year-round. We will continue to support the communities in which we also live and work.”
