First of Many New Hires for McGregor Facility

Team with Texas roots announced as the project progresses
MCGREGOR, Texas, August 23, 2022 – Knauf Insulation, Inc. introduced today the first hires to lead the company’s new production facility in McGregor, TX. Matt Parrish, Knauf’s North American CEO, along with members of the Knauf family and development team have expressed their commitment to hire people and firms with Texas ties. Knauf recently announced Crossland Construction, a family-owned company with a vast portfolio of projects built in Texas, as the general contractors for the project.
“I am thrilled that we were able to find not only three incredible candidates to lead the day-to-day operations of our facility in McGregor, but three industry-leading professionals who have deep Texas roots and understand the business climate and culture in the Lone Star State,” said Gina Max, Chief Human Resources Officer for Knauf Insulation. “These pioneering team leaders will be responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training, and oversight of the community members who will one day operate our facility and will lay the groundwork for the long-term production success of our Central Texas footprint.”
Valentin Salazar, Plant Manager
Valentin has resided in Texas for several years, working in the Fort Worth area. He is joining Knauf as the McGregor facility Plant Manager and bringing with him 20 plus years of experience in plant operations.
Alex Garcia, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager
Alex Garcia, the first of many McGregor residents to be hired at the new Knauf facility, is leading the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) area. A key role as the project kicks off, Alex brings more than 10 years of experience.
JT Tristan, Human Resources Manager
JT Tristan has relocated back to Texas as the Human Resources Manager, after over 20 years with USG Corporation, which is also a part of the Knauf Group. JT will play a vital role in the recruitment and onboarding of all future McGregor employees.
